The Compay "Retificio Soardi" is located in PESCHIERA
MARAGLIO, a small outlying village of Monte Isola (the biggest island of all
the European lakes) in the heart of Lake Sebino (also known as Lake Iseo).

An island where fishing has always been the main resource to its
inhabitants for many centuries.
It's out of this need that the inhabitants of the island, after many years
of experience, have learnt the ancient craft of net making.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Early in the 19th century small handicraft-workshops were operational
on the island and soon they became famous all over Europe because of their
technique and skill in making fishing and hunting nets.
And it is just in the shop of one of these old experienced craftsmen that
Mr. Dante started his activity and founded the Company "Retificio Soardi"
in 1960.

After 40 years' experience in the sector, the Retificio underwent
"technological" improvement, equipped itself with looms and installations
in the forefront of technology but it never gave up the traditional handmade
production of the nets.

"Retificio Soardi" manufactures hunting, fishing, sports
and farming nets, by availing itself of highly skilled local workmen, who
have great dexterity in manufacturing and finishing-off products that can
be realized only by the man's hands,

|
|
and thanks to their professionalism and experience they managed
to enter, export and compete - as concerns quality and price - in the national
and international trade of "nets".
